Job no: 556724 Work type: Instructional Faculty - Temporary Lecturer Location: Fresno Categories: Unit 3 - CFA - California Faculty Association, Temporary, Part Time Temporary Lecturer in Accountancy Courses Taught ACCT 4A: Financial Accounting Principles and Systems ACCT 4B: Managerial Accounting Principles and Systems Other classes may be identified as needed to fulfill educational goals of current students Instructor Responsibilities Temporary faculty members are responsible for adherence to and implementation of university and system-wide policies as directed in the Academic Policy Manual. Instructors prepare, deliver, conduct, proctor, and grade lectures, office hours, homework assignments, quizzes, class projects, and midterm and final exams. All classes must be offered and meet as scheduled throughout the semester in the mode assigned (asynchronous, synchronous, in‑person, or hybrid). Conditional Appointment Appointment is contingent upon budget and enrollment considerations, subject to the Order of Work as defined in the CSU–California Faculty Association agreement. Availability for short-notice teaching may be required. Appointees must demonstrate eligibility to work in the United States. Compensation Commensurate with qualifications and experience, within the CSU salary range for class code 2358. Salary ranges: $5,507–$6,677 per month when teaching full time (15 WTUs). Actual monthly salary is adjusted per number of WTUs assigned per term. Anticipated Semester Positions are filled as needed based on enrollment and funding. The temporary faculty pool remains in place for two academic terms (Fall 2026 & Spring 2027). Applicants may need to begin teaching on short notice. Required Qualifications Education: Master’s degree in Accountancy from an accredited institution. Experience: Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience (or a PhD earned in the last 5 years, or recent scholarly publications). Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse faculty, staff, and students. Preferred Qualifications Commitment to undergraduate teaching excellence. Successful undergraduate teaching experience.
