Financial Analyst I

OverviewSCCI is seeking a Financial Analyst I to join our team! If you enjoy analyzing data and providing helpful insight based on that data, this may be the role for you! The successful candidate will collect, organize, and analyze financial information to enable effective cost and performance evaluation by program and project managers. This position is located in Dahlgren, VA.This is a part-time position with an expected workload of 8-20 hours per week. The work hours will be flexible and based on program needs.SCCI offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability benefits, 401k with Company Match, time off consisting of 2 weeks of paid vacation, 48 hours of sick/personal leave, and 11 paid Holidays.Responsibilities:Duties include developing project spending plansTracking estimated versus actual expendituresTracking/reporting on budget/funding obligations and team travel expendituresProvides various other management supportRequires interaction with high-level contactsExposure to sensitive information necessitating considerable use of tact, discretion and judgmentEssential Skills and Experience:Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security ClearanceAssociate's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related disciplineTwo (2)+ years of experience providing financial management and analysis in support of a DoD Government contractExperience with Microsoft Office Suites: Word, Excel and Power PointExperience gathering data, compiling reports and preparing correspondenceDemonstrated attention to detail and proficiency in typing both words and numbersHigh degree of professionalism and adherence to high quality standardsAbility to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently and meet strict deadlinesStrong communication and organization skillsPreferred Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related disciplineFamiliar with utilizing SharePoint to update/maintain informationProvides revenue projections, monthly metrics and risk trackingPreparation of project budgets and financial plansExperience with tracking, analysis and reporting efforts including cost-to-complete projectionsSCCI is committed to providing comprehensive and competitive benefits package to meet the needs of employees and their families.
