AR & Collections Specialist | Medical Field Salary: $20 – $23 per hour. Hosted by Tammy Rivera at Jobot Consulting. Benefits Attractive base pay Comprehensive benefits Retirement planning Work‑life balance Generous paid time off (PTO) policy Observed corporate holidays Key Responsibilities Review and analyze patient accounts to ensure accuracy of balances and billing Clearly explain patient financial responsibility including co‑pays, deductibles, and co‑insurance Conduct outbound and inbound soft collections on past‑due patient balances Work closely with patients to resolve billing questions, discrepancies, and payment arrangements Identify accounts requiring escalation and prepare documentation for collection agency placement Collaborate with internal billing, coding, and insurance teams to ensure accurate account resolution Document all collection activities and maintain up‑to‑date account notes Monitor aging reports and prioritize follow‑up on outstanding balances Qualifications 2+ years of experience in medical collections, patient accounts, or healthcare receivables Strong understanding of medical insurance including co‑pays, deductibles, and co‑insurance Ability to read and interpret patient ledgers, EOBs, and account statements Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly and professionally Experience handling sensitive patient interactions with a customer‑service‑focused approach Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑through Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
