Senior Art Director, Global Retail and Packaging

Paramount is looking for a Senior Art Director to lead global retail and packaging creative for Skydance franchises in Los Angeles, CA ( onsite ). This hands-on role combines people leadership with concept development, guiding work from early exploration to production-ready design while partnering across Experiences, Retail, Marketing, and regional teams. You will also direct agencies and production partners to help deliver coherent identities, packaging systems, environmental graphics, and digital creative concepts. What you’ll deliver Retail campaign identities , design toolkits, and packaging systems Concept presentations for retail destinations, shop-in-shops, pop-ups, and experiential opportunities Environmental graphics , displays, and digital creative concepts with production-ready assets Creative briefs for motion and video partnerships, plus market adaptations Responsibilities Lead day-to-day retail and packaging design by managing and developing designers, establishing creative priorities with the VP, and aligning resources and delivery with Creative Operations Proactively develop and pitch concepts for retail destinations and experiential opportunities, maintaining an agreed pipeline alongside ongoing delivery Stay hands-on across campaign identities, logos, packaging systems, displays, environmental graphics, and digital concepts, guiding work from exploration through production-ready design Partner early with Experiences, Retail, Marketing, and regional teams to adapt concepts for local audiences and execution by specialist partners Collaborate with Licensing Design and Character Art to support franchise coherence, and with the Creative Studio on selected motion, video, and social assets; lead franchise branding projects as assigned by the VP Direct agencies and production partners, reviewing feasibility, materials, and execution quality within agreed budgets and timelines Provide selective creative consultation for owned e-commerce (including Paramount Shop) through Product Design, while routine product oversight and partner management remain partner-led; ensure site asset execution stays partner-led Requirements Extensive retail, packaging, or brand design experience, including proven people leadership and a track record of developing concepts beyond routine production An exemplary portfolio across retail campaigns, packaging, identity systems, and physical or digital consumer experiences; entertainment or licensing experience is preferred Expert Adobe Creative Suite skills and current hands-on design practice, with strong typography, composition, and packaging production knowledge Ability to pitch concepts, develop designers, direct specialist partners, and balance ongoing delivery with future-facing initiatives across markets Fluency in briefing motion and digital creative, plus applicable use of company-approved AI-assisted exploration and visualization with sound rights and quality judgment Compensation & success Salary range: USD 156,800 - 200,000 per year.
