Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - PRN

Medical Hill Healthcare Center Pay Rate: $60.00–$65.00 per hour Join Our Rehabilitation Team Medical Hill Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our therapy team on a PRN basis. In this role, you will help residents improve their communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing abilities while collaborating with an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities Assess residents to identify communication, cognitive, and swallowing deficits Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on physician orders and clinical findings Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate Partner with physicians, nursing staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize outcomes Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning discussions Educate residents and caregivers on treatment goals, home programs, communication strategies, and swallowing safety Provide in-services and educational support to staff as needed Mentor Clinical Fellows (CFY), students, and rehabilitation team members when applicable Complete timely and accurate documentation in accordance with facility policies, regulatory standards, and payer requirements Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and facility guidelines Promote a safe treatment environment through adherence to infection control and safety procedures Support quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives Qualifications Current State Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, or geriatric rehabilitation preferred Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care Benefits Competitive PRN pay: $60.00–$65.00 per hour Supportive interdisciplinary team environment Modern therapy resources and equipment Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in residents' lives Flexible scheduling Apply today and become part of a team dedicated to helping residents achieve their highest level of independence and quality of life.
