Senior QC Analytical Chemist - Group Leader

Eurofins PSS seeks a Senior QC Analytical Chemist Group Leader in Albany, NY to conduct GMP pharmaceutical testing and oversee a team of 3-5 chemists. The role involves testing in-process materials, APIs, and stability samples while managing investigations and method transfers.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop a team of 3-5 analytical chemists
• Conduct and review pharmaceutical testing using approved methods and GMP protocols
• Support method transfers, qualifications, and investigations of invalid or out-of-specification results
• Serve as primary liaison between client and internal teams on technical matters
• Participate in hiring, onboarding, and professional development of team members

Requirements

• BS in Chemistry or related field with 5+ years GMP/GLP testing experience, or MS with 3+ years experience
• 3+ years hands-on experience with LC, conductivity, and titration methods
• Proficiency with at least two of: NMR, GC, ICP-OES, IR, RI, UV-Vis, or TGA
• In-depth knowledge of GMP regulations, ICH guidelines, and 21 CFR Parts 210 and 211
• Minimum 1 year of prior leadership or supervisory experience
• Expertise in reference standard qualification and elemental impurities testing

Compensation: $36.50-$41.00 per hour based on education and experience
