ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position/Department Develop, update, and maintain electronic job descriptions for all positions, coordinating with newly added locations for consistency and thoroughness Back-up the Talent Acquisition Specialist as needed with reviewing, coordinating interview schedules, and creating documents needed throughout the hiring process Support Talent Acquisition Specialist with initial onboarding of ALL new hires and collaborate with hiring managers to create and utilize onboarding that is effective, engaging, and supports our pillars and fundamentals Utilize HRIS system to create and maintain an effective Performance Evaluation process Act as a first point of contact for general employee relations issues Collect and help analyze internal and external information in order to compare HR practices to best in class Coordinate Employee Survey informational materials and processes Utilize in-house HRIS tools including recruiting, onboarding, performance management, etc. Assist as needed with tasks related to acquisitions and mergers Maintain the Employee Referral process and coordinate payouts with Payroll, as needed Assist in the administration of the Tuition Reimbursement Program Support efforts and manage programs (i.e. rewards programs) to ensure employees are recognized for their hard work and dedication Develop and manage the exit interview process. Track and analyze data for trends and make recommendations that support employee engagement and retention Communicate in a positive, professional manner and create a positive experience with all employees and 3 rd party vendors Assist with various HR administrative responsibilities Promote the company’s reputation, culture, and attractiveness as an excellent place to work Support various efforts to retain top talent Leadership/ Teamwork Provide assistance with compensation administration, including salary surveys, ensuring internal equity, and documentation, as well as review and roll out best practice options for the incentive programs Promote Community Service opportunities and recognition of employees’ participation in such events Represent Human Resources with participation in the Wellness and Culture Committees and Initiatives Continuous Improvement/Problem Solving Assess candidates’ relevant knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience and aptitudes via assessments, including developmental suggestions and check-ins at periodic intervals (30 days, 90 days, etc.) Coordinate training schedules and checklists and development programs, (i.e. compliance, personal/professional, workshops, webinars, certifications, etc.) Contribute to and support continuous improvement of our processes and systemsSeek opportunities to share best practices with the team, support staff and other divisions Systems Barentz specific systems, including but not limited to ADP, Cornerstone, third party Vendor systems (benefits, 401k, etc.), Support and lead by example, following Barentz’ purpose, strategies, and values Act legally and ethically in all professional relationships in adherence with Barentz’ culture, values and fundamentals Contribute to an environment of trust and mutual respect Maintain a strong commitment to teamwork and concern for others Maintain a high level of personal responsibility and ownership Use effective communication and listening skills Foster an inclusive and diverse workplace where every team member feels valued and respected Learning and Development Seek out and participate in ongoing growth and personal development opportunities Embrace and promote Barentz’ learning and development culture Other Duties and Responsibilities: Duties and responsibilities may be amended at any time per business need

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Education Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience (Required) Experience At least 5 years of professional HR experience, preferably in an in-house manufacturing or distribution environment (required) Certifications Any industry related certification (i.e., SHRM and/or HRCI preferred/encouraged) Position/Product/Industry Requirements Keep abreast of local, state, and federal employment laws and legislation Experience with EEOC and affirmative Action reporting requirements
