Specimen Processor I

Labcorp seeks a Specimen Processor I in Orlando, Florida to prepare, sort, and accessioning clinical specimens in a high-volume laboratory setting. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, and routing samples according to standard procedures on a night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing according to standard operating procedures
• Unpack, route, identify, label, pack and ship specimens to appropriate staging areas and testing facilities
• Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information into laboratory systems
• Resolve and document problem specimens; properly prepare and store excess samples
• Meet department activity and production goals in fast-paced, high-throughput environment

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Ability to accurately identify and label biological specimens
• Strong data entry and organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Proficiency in MS Office and team-based work environment
• Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly
• Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
• Preferred: 1+ year experience in lab, accessioning, production, or warehouse environment
