A family owned and operated Distribution Business is looking for an Experienced Procurement Assistant 2+ years of buying or purchasing experience. Distribution Industry experience is a plus.

The Experienced Procurement Assistant is responsible for assisting with strategically sourcing, purchasing, and managing inventory of paper, packaging, and janitorial products to support distribution operations. This role requires vendor negotiation skills, market awareness, and the ability to balance cost control with service level requirements. The Procurement Assistant works closely with our Senior Buyer, sales, operations, and suppliers to ensure product availability, competitive pricing, and efficient inventory turnover. Proven success negotiating with suppliers and managing vendor relationships. Proficiency with SAGE ERP system and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and demand forecasting.
