Senior Accountant

Senior/General AccountantSalary range: $65,000-$80,000 per year. Additional bonus potential of up to $8,000 per year.This position is based onsite at our Home Office in Charlottesville, VA.As a Senior/General Accountant at Commonwealth Senior Living, you will support a designated region of communities from our Home Office in Charlottesville, VA. This role is responsible for managing Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and preparing Financial Statements for the communities in your region.Duties and Responsibilities:Processing and paying vendor invoicesManaging resident billing and account changesReconciling vendor and resident accountsPerforming month-end reviews to ensure financial accuracy and compliance with accounting standardsFiling business licenses, property taxes, and sales taxRecording and tracking fixed assetsAcquiring in-depth knowledge of our integrated Yardi software and assisting others in its useAssist in providing financial information for tax return preparationPerform other accounting tasks as needed and assigned.
