Senior /Lead Estimator - Heavy CivilCharlottesville, VA | Competitive pay plus full benefitsA well-established transportation, bridge, highway, and heavy civil construction firm is expanding its central Virginia team and hiring a Senior/Lead Estimator to lead bids on projects ranging from $5 million to $60 million. This role carries real influence over project selection, bid strategy, and execution, and includes mentoring junior estimators as the team grows.Schedule Full-time, day shift. Some local travel is required, with occasional weekend availability.Compensation $140,000 - $180,000 Per YearWhat You'll DoYou will own bid documents and interpret civil construction plans independently, leading quantity takeoffs and building out complete project scopes. You will define subcontractor needs, meet DBE goals, and flag constructability concerns early, while driving value engineering opportunities and owning pre-bid coordination with owners.You will build and submit complete bid packages and project schedules, set bid strategy, and defend the number with leadership.
