About the Role As a Senior Manager and Player‑Coach, you are the Product Owner of the next‑generation internal cloud platform. You prioritize the roadmap, own the relationship with the CISO and security stakeholders, grow a high‑performing team, and ensure the platform meets NIST 800‑53 R5 compliance standards. Responsibilities Product Ownership & Strategy (Primary Focus) The Roadmap – Prioritize expansions to new regions and architectures based on customer value. Stakeholder Alignment – Maintain alignment with security and compliance teams. People Leadership & Culture Team Growth – Hire, coach, and develop SREs, architects, and security automation engineers. Operational Culture – Enforce a “No Ticket‑Ops” and “Shift‑Left” philosophy via CI/CD pipelines. Collaboration – Foster psychological safety, post‑mortem excellence, and continuous learning. FinOps & Technical Governance Cloud Economics – Own the cloud budget and drive cost accountability in pull requests. AI Integration – Strategically integrate AI agents and LLMs into GitOps workflows. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience. 8+ years of software engineering/cloud infrastructure experience with 3+ years of people management. Experience as a Product Owner or Engineering Manager for an enterprise‑scale internal developer platform. Deep understanding of multi‑account cloud strategies, governance, and preventative guardrails. Track record designing mission‑critical services with 99.999% uptime and active‑active regional architectures. Strong knowledge of modern cloud‑native security paradigms (Private‑by‑Default, egress inspection, secrets management). Preferred Qualifications Leadership experience in automated “vending machine” solutions for secure cloud provisioning. Background in regulated environments (NIST 800‑53, FedRAMP, SOC 2, SOX) and automation of compliance evidence. Familiarity with LLMs and AI agents for code reviews, security audits, or runbooks. Track record improving team engagement, diversity, and retention metrics.
