Overview Scene Health is reimagining medication adherence with a 360° model of care, using Directly Observed Therapy concepts in a digital age. Through personalized video coaching, engaging education, and motivational support, we connect healthcare professionals, patients, and families to address medication nonadherence. Through our mobile app, patients connect with pharmacists, nurses, and health coaches via daily video check-ins, anytime, anywhere, to support medication management and address barriers related to social determinants of health. Scene provides a platform of mobile and web-based applications used in the US and abroad, offering varied daily work and challenging problems with a serious patient impact. We collaborate with clinicians and scientists to help patients facing significant health challenges, offering solutions to infectious and chronic diseases such as tuberculosis, HIV, hepatitis C, opioid addiction/substance abuse, diabetes, asthma, and mental health. We partner with academic medical centers and adherence experts nationwide to develop and validate our tech-enabled solution. We are looking for a passionate and motivated Patient Engagement Specialist for Research and Clinical Trials, who will deliver Scene’s digital adherence monitoring programs for academic and commercial research partners reporting to the Associate Program Manager. We support study participants in taking their first critical steps toward better health. Scene serves patients virtually with chronic and behavioral health conditions. Our clinical pilot and trial management customers and their participants value meaningful engagement delivered routinely and rapidly. Responsibilities Completes daily reviews of all patient video submissions when ingesting medications, responds per engagement and escalation protocols, and documents actions taken Updates and maintains a database of patient-level notes daily Conducts data entry, data quality checks, and data reconciliation to ensure consistent documentation Provides technical training with study sites to help patients use Scene Health’s mobile application and to resolve technical challenges on the web platform Prepares written reports and maintains records of program monitoring activities Works collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify, develop, evaluate, and refine new processes and features of the Scene Health program Provides management with patient feedback and/or recommendations for program and product improvement Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications 3–5 years of related experience High school diploma Excellent oral and written communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Proficiency with database systems and mobile applications Bilingual in English and Spanish Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare related field or equivalent experience Experience in a healthcare, clinical research, or digital health setting Familiarity or experience with substance use/abuse and mental health care and programs, especially recovery support services and peer support approaches Directly Observed Therapy, peer counseling, or other community health work experience Open to alternative work schedules Note: Interested candidates should be prepared to provide references as a part of the interview process.
