Premium Auditor

To ensure compliance and reduce repurchase risk, the full-time California Licensed Pre-Closing Auditor will conduct comprehensive pre-funding reviews of residential mortgage loan files in a hybrid work environment, focusing on loan quality, compliance, and risk identification. Key responsibilities Perform comprehensive pre-closing quality reviews of residential mortgage loan files to validate documentation accuracy and compliance Identify and document risks related to compliance deficiencies, documentation defects, and investor eligibility issues Collaborate with internal departments to communicate findings and ensure identified deficiencies are corrected prior to funding Required qualifications Minimum five years of recent residential mortgage experience, including roles in underwriting, quality control, or compliance Strong understanding of residential mortgage lending and comprehensive knowledge of underwriting and closing documentation Familiarity with mortgage regulations such as TRID, ECOA, RESPA, and TILA Ability to interpret investor guidelines and make objective, risk-based decisions Experience with Non-QM and DSCR loan products is preferred
