Service Operations Manager

Job Title: Service Operations Manager (US | Travel Required) Salary $130,000 - $150,000 We’re partnering with a global leader in radiation detection technology, to hire a Service Operations Manager who will play a key role in transforming and scaling their customer support function during a period of strong growth. This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact “build and lead” position, ideal for someone who thrives in a player-coach environment and enjoys combining hands-on technical work with operational leadership. What you’ll be doing Take ownership of the Customer Support function , assessing current operations and driving transformation Design and implement scalable service processes, KPIs, and tools Deliver hands-on technical support (field service, troubleshooting, installations, repairs) Lead root cause analysis and drive continuous improvement Build and grow a global support team from the ground up Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Commercial teams Act as a key escalation point for critical customer issues What we’re looking for Proven experience in field service, technical support, or service operations leadership Background supporting complex electromechanical or high-tech products Demonstrated success improving or building service organisations Strong hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills Experience with CRM, service platforms, KPIs, and SLAs A proactive mindset—comfortable starting as a team of one and scaling globally Why this role?
