Role Overview As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing quality and compassionate care to our patients. Working under the direct supervision of providers and nursing leadership, you will perform a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure a seamless patient experience. Your contributions will directly support our healthcare providers in delivering exceptional care. What You Will Do Greet and escort patients to the exam room, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience. Obtain and document accurate medical histories from patients. Measure and record vital signs, maintaining detailed and organized patient records. Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, assisting providers as needed. Support providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring efficient and effective care delivery. Qualifications What You Will Need Required Qualifications High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years. Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation. Preferred Qualifications Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills. EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
