The Director of Platforms at Quantum Corporation will lead the vision, strategy, and execution of our HW Platforms portfolio and implement formal practices for Compatibility, Performance, and Security. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering Quantum’s HW Platforms roadmaps to meet evolving market demands and customer needs, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and long-term growth strategies.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipResponsible for execution of Quantum’s vision and strategy across all HW Platform lines.Develop and maintain a comprehensive roadmap for each HW platform aligned with business goals.Identify emerging technologies and market trends to inform Platform direction.Product Lifecycle ManagementResponsible for the end-to-end product lifecycle: concept, design, development, launch, and post-launch optimization.Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer expectations.Align platforms direction and roadmap with contract manufacturing and OEM partnersCross-Functional CollaborationPartner with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure successful platform launches and adoption.Act as the primary liaison between key functional stakeholder groups and the platform teams.Collaborate with Engineering to implement, evolve, and improve Agile Scrum processes for Platforms, Compatibility, Performance, and SecurityMarket & Customer InsightsConduct market analysis and competitive benchmarking to identify opportunities.Gather and prioritize customer requirements to influence Platform decisions.Establish a Voice of the Customer and Market Sensing processes and functions across internal and external stakeholdersTeam DevelopmentBuild, mentor, and lead a high-performing Platforms team.Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.Implement modern tools and integrate AI technologies into core Platforms processes and functions to increase quality, efficiency, consistency, and repeatability of work products and deliverablesPerformance & MetricsDefine and track KPIs for product success, including revenue growth, adoption rates, and customer satisfaction.Present product performance insights and strategic recommendations to leadership.Establish and manage quarterly OKR’s for the Platform teamsQualificationsEducation:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related fieldMBA is desirable but not required.Experience:15+ years in product/platform management, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role.Proven track record of managing complex product/platform portfolios in technology or data solutions.Skills:Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.Deep understanding of storage, data management, and emerging technologies.Outstanding problem-solving skills – ability to define and structure problems, collect and analyze data, and synthesize defendable recommendations into actionable plansAbility to lead, influence, and hold cross-functional teams accountableClear, effective communication and strong presentation skills with a keen ability to articulate complex concepts to cross-functional audiencesExperience with Agile Scrum development methodologies and understanding of software development processesProven track record of successfully launching and managing HW platforms through their lifecycleA passion for technology and ability to stay on top of evolving market trends and technology advancementsStrong business technical acumen, with a demonstrated track record of delivering enterprise-grade software capabilitiesExceptional collaboration and relationship-building skills – with the ability to develop work in relationships at all levels of the organization, both inside and outside of QuantumProven ability to work effectively in a remote/hybrid environmentAbility to travel as required.Quantum provides a diverse portfolio of health plans for medical and prescription, dental, vision, life, disability and supplemental medical insurance options. Anticipated Base Salary Earnings Range: $160,000 - $210,000 The above pay range represents Quantum's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting.
