Job Summary:

The Multi-Site Leader makes Sun Day’s carwashes run. This role is responsible for the people, performance, and culture of two Sun Day Carwash locations; setting the standard, developing the team, and ensuring that each site consistently delivers the experience our customers and team members deserve.

This is a people-first leadership role that is also deeply operational. The Multi-Site Leader is a visible, active presence across their locations, coaching in the moment, holding the team accountable, and creating an environment where people are engaged and proud of the work they do. The right person brings warmth and kindness to every interaction, leads by example, and understands that a great team and a great customer experience are inseparable.

The Multi-Site Leader, North SLO County reports to the Area Leader, Central Coast.

Duties & Responsibilities:

People Leadership & Development

• Hire, onboard, train, and develop site-level team members, working alongside them to model Sun Day culture and set the standard for hospitality, energy, and accountability
• Coach team members continuously, giving direct, honest feedback and creating real development opportunities for people who want to grow
• Build a strong, engaged team where people feel connected to the Sun Day mission and understand their role in the company’s success
• Identify and develop high-potential team members, building a bench for future leadership roles
• Address performance issues directly and promptly, with clarity and respect

Site Operations

• Oversee daily operations across all assigned locations, ensuring consistent adherence to Sun Day standards in quality, hospitality, and safety
• Be a regular, visible presence across your sites, observing operations in real time, coaching in the moment, and holding the team to a high standard
• Monitor and manage facilities, equipment, and inventory to ensure all locations are safe, clean, organized, and properly maintained
• Set employee schedules in line with the labor model, publish on time, and manage site costs including chemicals, water, electricity, and administrative expenses
• Ensure all locations are appropriately staffed and consistently delivering the Sun Day customer experience

Performance & Accountability

• Own site-level performance including revenue, labor, membership growth, and cost management
• Monitor KPIs and drive accountability with your team, identifying gaps early and taking prompt, clear corrective action
• Translate direction from the Area Leader into clear expectations for your team, ensuring alignment without ambiguity
• Communicate proactively and effectively with the Area Leader and Operations Leadership Team

Customer Experience & Brand Standards

• Maintain Sun Day’s standards of hospitality and service across all locations, leading by example in every customer interaction
• Monitor customer feedback, identify patterns, and work with your team to implement meaningful improvements
• Respond to escalated customer concerns with urgency and care, modeling the standard of service we expect from every team member
• Ensure the Sun Day brand is represented consistently in how the team shows up, how the sites look, and how customers feel when they leave

Community & Local Marketing

• Proactively build a local presence for Sun Day by developing community relationships and deploying a local marketing plan
• Find ways to serve the local community and ensure Sun Day remains an outstanding community member

Required Experience, Education, & Skills: 

• 2+ years of leadership experience managing teams, ideally in retail, hospitality, or a service environment with a strong customer experience culture
• Brings warmth and kindness to every interaction and genuinely cares about the people on their team and the customers they serve
• Proven track record developing people by coaching, giving direct feedback, and creating a team culture where people are accountable and engaged
• Demonstrated ability to grow revenue and manage costs, with comfort reading and acting on operational data
• Clear, direct communicator who builds trust through consistent follow-through, candid conversations, and the ability to adapt their approach across different people and situations
• Strong problem-solver who takes action quickly, makes sound decisions under pressure, and doesn’t wait for perfect conditions to act
• Resilient and composed when things get hard. Able to maintain team morale and momentum through challenges
• Holds themselves and others accountable. Takes ownership, follows through, and addresses issues directly rather than letting them linger
• Proficiency with business tools including email, calendar, Zoom, and Slack
• Availability to work a varied, flexible schedule across multiple locations; ability to work outdoors on your feet for extended periods
