Certifications: - ACLS - BCLS by AHA - PALS - TNCC - NIH Must-Have: - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias experience. - EPIC charting experience. - Willingness to work three weekends per four-week schedule. - Acknowledgment of high patient ratios (1:5-6, potentially up to 8). - Required certifications must be current. Description: This position is for a registered nurse specializing in emergency care. The nurse will provide direct patient care in a high-acuity emergency department. The department currently experiences patient ratios of 1:5-6, which may rise depending on patient volume. The nurse will work night shifts with a consistent schedule. The environment includes a Level I trauma center and pediatric emergency department. Nurses will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient outcomes. Experience with continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration is preferred. Triage experience is also preferred although not required. Candidates should be prepared to float to pediatric emergency department if required. The role may involve the management of ventilated patients and other critical care protocols. Nurses are expected to complete module training pre-start. High standards for patient care and adherence to guidelines are essential for success in this role.
