We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Biller/Collections Specialist to support billing and receivables operations for a Contract position based in Devens, Massachusetts. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can navigate claim issues, communicate effectively with insurance carriers, and keep billing records accurate and current. The role will focus on resolving denied claims, maintaining clean data entry, and assisting with additional revenue cycle projects as needed.

Responsibilities:
• Review and resolve denied or rejected medical claims by researching issues and taking appropriate corrective action.
• Enter billing, payment, and patient account information accurately to support timely claim processing and follow-up.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to clarify claim status, address discrepancies, and secure proper reimbursement.
• Prepare and submit appeals for unpaid or underpaid claims with supporting documentation when necessary.
• Monitor outstanding balances and perform collection activities to reduce aging accounts receivable.
• Support hospital billing processes by ensuring charges, coding-related details, and claim information are documented correctly.
• Track account activity and maintain organized records of billing actions, payer correspondence, and resolution outcomes.
• Assist with special billing and revenue cycle assignments that help improve claim accuracy and payment turnaround times.• Experience in medical billing within a healthcare, hospital, or related clinical setting.
• Working knowledge of medical collections and accounts receivable follow-up processes.
• Ability to investigate claim denials and take action to resolve billing issues efficiently.
• Experience preparing or supporting medical appeals for denied or disputed claims.
• Strong data entry accuracy and attention to detail when handling patient and billing records.
• Familiarity with insurance verification, payer communication, and reimbursement procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain consistent follow-through in a fast-paced environment.
