Opportunity As a Float Phlebotomist/Administrative Assistant (Flex Patient Care Specialist), you will offer an exceptional patient experience by providing venipuncture and other clinical support. You will be the first point of contact, maintain office appearance, and collaborate with the Practice Coordinator, Operations Manager, and providers. What You’ll Likely Work On Use the C‑I‑CARE framework in all patient interactions and ensure a fluid in‑office experience. Provide venipuncture services for patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. Perform and assist with extended scope duties such as non‑blood specimen collection, EKGs/ECGs, vitals, ear lavages, vaccines, PPD tests, and swabs. Maintain high standards of specimen labeling, handling, inventory, and sterilization. Assist with patient messages, follow up on lab cases, and support virtual medical team with clerical duties. Perform front‑of‑house duties: check‑in, insurance verification, paperwork, test prep, service‑level tasking. Participate in team huddles, problem‑solving, and provider support. Perform opening and closing duties and keep patient and employee spaces organized. Master technology suite (Slack, G‑suite, Zoom, Circulation, RingCentral, EMR). What You’ll Need At least 6 months of experience as a Medical Assistant or Phlebotomist outside a training/externship setting. Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships. Strong written and verbal communication. High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in computer technology (typing, internet navigation, multiple software systems). Experience working in collaborative, diverse, multi‑disciplinary teams. Confidence and trust‑building during specimen collection with individualized, customer‑focused care. Track record of persevering through change, taking action on challenges, and learning quickly. Competitive salary: starts at $24.25 per hour based on a full‑time schedule. This is a full‑time role (40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 7:00 am–7:00 pm) based in Fairfax Mosaic office, with floating between Fairfax, Arlington, Reston, and Tyson offices.
