Position Overview

This role qualifies for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), which offers reimbursement for student loan payments. To be eligible, candidates must meet specific criteria set by VHA policy and submit their EDRP application within four months of their start date. The approval, award amount (up to $200,000), and eligibility duration (ranging from one to five years) will be determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review of the application.

Our Medical Center is in search of a dedicated and skilled Cardiac Anesthesiologist to enhance our expanding Anesthesia Service in the beautiful city of St. Louis, Missouri. Position Highlights

• Focus on Cardiac Anesthesia: Engage in cardiac anesthesia procedures, including CABG, valve surgeries, TAVR, and other intricate cardiac operations within a collaborative, academic setting.

• Team Collaboration: Work alongside surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, and CRNAs to deliver high-quality, evidence-based perioperative care.

• Comprehensive Care: Involve yourself in preoperative evaluations, intraoperative management, postoperative care, and critical care as necessary.

Compensation and Benefits

EDRP Eligibility: Previous EDRP participants are not eligible for this incentive.

Salary: Competitive compensation, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increases!

Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 days of paid time off annually (including 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and a potential 5-day paid absence for CME).

Contractual Flexibility: No Physician Employment Contract and minimal restrictions on moonlighting.

Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology is required; additional fellowship training or significant experience in cardiac anesthesia is highly preferred.
