Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Project Manager to oversee commercial HVAC service projects, equipment replacements, retrofits, and mechanical system upgrades. This individual will be responsible for coordinating projects from planning and estimating through execution and completion, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing commercial HVAC projects, coordinating field technicians and subcontractors, preparing estimates, and maintaining strong relationships with customers and vendors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage commercial HVAC projects from initial planning and estimating through execution, closeout, and customer handover.
• Coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, equipment deliveries, and project schedules.
• Prepare and review project estimates, labor requirements, material costs, and budgets.
• Monitor project progress, costs, timelines, and overall profitability.
• Oversee commercial HVAC service projects, equipment replacements, retrofits, and system upgrades.
• Communicate with customers regarding project scope, schedules, progress, and any required changes.
• Identify and resolve project issues, scheduling conflicts, and technical challenges.
• Ensure work complies with applicable safety standards, building codes, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with service, engineering, estimating, and field teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain project documentation, including estimates, work orders, schedules, change orders, and closeout records.
• Support customer satisfaction and identify opportunities for additional service or project work.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Project Manager, Mechanical Project Manager, or HVAC Project Manager within the commercial HVAC or mechanical contracting industry.
• 2–10 years of project management experience, preferably within commercial HVAC, mechanical contracting, or building services.
• Strong understanding of commercial HVAC systems, equipment, installation, service, and replacement projects.
• Experience with project estimating, budgeting, scheduling, and cost control.
• Ability to coordinate field technicians, subcontractors, vendors, and customers.
• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and customer-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Familiarity with commercial HVAC equipment such as boilers, chillers, rooftop units (RTUs), hydronic systems, and building automation/controls is preferred.
• Proficiency with project management software and estimating tools is a plus.

Preferred Background:

• Candidates with experience at commercial mechanical contractors, HVAC service providers, or commercial building-services companies are encouraged to apply.
• Experience managing HVAC service projects, preventive maintenance-related work, equipment replacements, and retrofit projects will be particularly valuable.
