In the office, the warehouse, or on the road, it is this commitment to our innovative spirit that unites us in common mission to push boundaries in the logistics industry.The Dispatch Manager is responsible for overseeing daily transportation operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, driver performance, fleet utilization, and operational efficiency across assigned accounts. This role serves as the primary liaison between customers, drivers, dispatchers, and internal departments, providing proactive communication on pickups, deliveries, project status, and service performance.Duties and responsibilities:Providing updates to customers on projects/goals/operational check in on pickups/deliveriesParticipate in customer weekly/daily calls regarding performance and planningReview potential changes and/or improvements with customer, validate internally with operations management team, and roll out changes/improvements to the many drivers and dispatchers involvedSupport driver hiring and start up initiatives by interviewing and processing driversEvaluate driver pools and driver capabilities for busy season/special projectsManage equipment utilization of tractors and trailers assigned to fleetComplete daily payroll responsibilities through UKGMatch driver candidates for capabilities that match service needsWork through application questions and concernsCoordinate Recruiting and Safety departments processing of applicationsReview Problems from internal & external customers and resolveWork with tools and infrastructure items like SkyBitz, Platform Science, LYTX Drivecam, As400 reportingCoach drivers on performance and safety related itemsReview terminal performance and report out in weekly internal KPI meetingsCustomer portals and online platforms i.e. SmartsheetWork with administrative teams to complete orders/close out open billing itemsManage reporting tools to create processes for additional revenue streams. i.e. detention and bobtail billingPerform other duties as assignedQualifications:5+ years of relevant dispatch/operations management experienceHigh school diploma or equivalent educationStrong understanding of FMCSA & DOT guidelinesAdvanced knowledge of AS-400 and intermediate computer skillsProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with a wide range of people.NRS is an equal opportunity employer.
