Exciting Opportunity for an RRT in NICU! Job Description:
- Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:00 - 06:30)
- Must work 2 out of 3 holiday bundles:
- Thanksgiving & the day after
- Christmas Eve & Christmas Day
- NYE & NYD
- Location: Must be more than 100 miles away (No locals within 100 miles)
- COVID Vaccine: Optional (Reporting required for numbers)
- Position/Specialty: RRT NICU
- Average Daily Census: 6-10 vents
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years
- First-Timers Accepted: Yes
- Weekend Requirements: Must work weekends as needed by the unit (no more than 3 weekends in a row)
- Certifications Required:
- NM License
- RRT
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Floating to RRT Adults unit as needed
- Block schedule: No
- Pending License: Accepted
- RTO Restrictions: Greater than 7 days requires approval
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week (Facility can call off 3 times throughout 13-week assignment)
- Skills Required:
- NICU
- Pediatric Critical Care
- Endotracheal tube/suctioning
- Extubation
- Nasal airway placement/suctioning
- Oral airway placement
- Oropharyngeal suctioning
- Sputum specimen collection
- Tracheostomy suctioning
- Pulmonary toileting
- ABG interpretation
- Special Requirements: Trauma Level I experience required
- Facility Highlights:
- Type of Facility: Level I Trauma, Teaching, Children's Hospital, Short term, Acute care
- Total Staffed Beds: 554
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue
- Charting: Cerner
- Parking: No Fee
- New contracts/extensions: Minimum of 10 weeks
- 6-month break required after 4 consecutive assignments or reaching one year
- Must be self-rated 4 on High Frequency Jet Ventilator (HFJV) and High Frequency Oscillator (HFOV)
- Both NICU and PICU experience required
