As an Unarmed Security Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with visitors and staff, and use computer or tablet systems as needed. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $20.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon06:00 AM - 02:30 PM Sat06:00 AM - 02:30 PM Sun06:00 AM - 02:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a retail and mall location. Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of common areas, storefronts, parking areas, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or emergency services as needed. Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the property to help deter unauthorized access, theft-related activity, and other policy violations. Document patrols, incidents, and observations in required reports and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: Have at least 6 months of security-related experience. Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred. Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred. Possess a guard card or license, preferred. Have customer service experience, preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
