As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will complete routine rounds, stay highly visible to help to deter security‑related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and professional customer service. You will support loss prevention efforts, document observations, and partner with store teams to keep operations running smoothly. What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to customers and store associates by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, stockroom corridors, exterior storefront, and parking areas as assigned. Monitor for suspicious activity, policy violations, and potential hazards, and take appropriate action to help to deter theft, loitering, and disorderly conduct. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, including de‑escalation, assisting with medical response coordination, and contacting law enforcement and/or management when required. Complete required reports and documentation, communicate observations to Allied Universal and site leadership, and support access control such as checking doors, receiving areas, and key control as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Loss prevention experience is preferred. A guard card and/or applicable license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
