As an unarmed Security Officer in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with shoppers, staff, and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon05:30 AM - 01:30 PMTue05:30 AM - 01:30 PMWed05:30 AM - 01:30 PMThur05:30 AM - 01:30 PMFri05:30 AM - 01:30 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales areas, common areas, parking locations, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, and policy violations; document incidents and complete required reports. Assist with access control, visitor interactions, and coordination with store management and law enforcement or emergency responders when needed. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
