Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for Surgery Division

Temple University Hospital is looking to add an Advanced Practice Provider (APP; Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for the Surgery division of our health system. The APP will have no on-call, an every third weekend rotation, and a holiday rotation. We need the candidate to have a strong cardiac background such as Cardiac ICU, Cath Lab, Telemetry, etc. Candidate must be knowledgeable in hemodynamics.

The APP treats and evaluates patients; administers advanced nursing care in a particular clinical specialty area under the direction of the licensed physician. Performs a wide variety of patient care activities including diagnosis and the prescription of medical therapeutics or corrective measures in collaboration with and under the direction of the licensed physician.

Education

Bachelor's Degree Nursing - Required

Master's Degree Nursing - Required

OR

Masters degree in Physician Assistant studies - Required

Experience

1 year experience in a cardiac specialty - Preferred

2 years experience as a nurse practitioner or physician assistant - Preferred

Licenses

PA Cert Reg Nurse Practitioner - Required

PA Registered Nurse License - Required

Prescriptive Authority - Preferred

Multi State Compact RN License - Required

or a Physician Assistant License - Required
