We are looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to support day-to-day financial operations for a long-term contract opportunity in Ocala, Florida. This position focuses on maintaining accurate payment records, coordinating invoice review, and helping ensure timely processing of vendor obligations. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, a service-oriented approach, and the ability to manage accounting tasks with consistency and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

• Review vendor invoices against purchase orders and receiving documentation, then enter approved transactions into the accounts payable system with accuracy.

• Prepare and issue scheduled payments to vendors while helping maintain an organized and timely payment cycle.

• Manage petty cash activity, reconcile balances, and complete monthly reimbursement documentation.

• Assist with the preparation of monthly journal entries and related accounting records.

• Record returned canceled checks from the bank in ERP system and maintain accurate payment history.

• Keep financial documents current, complete, and properly filed to support audit readiness and internal controls.

• Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal teams to resolve questions and support efficient transaction processing.

• Experience working in accounts payable or a closely related accounting support role.

• Hands-on knowledge of invoice processing, including three-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving records.

• Familiarity with purchase order-based payment workflows and vendor billing procedures.

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate financial documentation.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet scheduled deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with internal stakeholders and external contacts.

• Proficiency with accounting systems and standard office software.
