Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Provide nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care, or Stepdown setting
• Manage and monitor patients requiring specialized interventions including chest tubes, trachs, central lines, CBIs, femstops, and drains
• Administer and titrate vasoactive and cardiac drip medications including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Insulin, Heparin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Isuprel, Milrinone, and Argatroban
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and care coordination
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of previous RN experience required
• Active Illinois RN state license required; Iowa RN license required upon offer
• BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification (AHA) required
• Proficiency with chest tubes, femstops, trachs, CBIs, drains, and central lines required
• Experience administering and titrating cardiac and vasoactive drip medications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac and open heart experience preferred
• At least one prior travel nursing contract completed preferred
