Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting during night shift hours.
• Maintain safe patient assignments with a night shift ratio of 1:5 to 1:6, with charge nurses considering each nurse's level of cardiac experience.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and care coordination.
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of current Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care experience within the past 24 months.
• Active Illinois RN license at time of submission.
• Demonstrated proficiency with EPIC EMR (required).
• Current BLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross (required).
• Current ACLS certification through AHA or American Red Cross (required).
• Valid Driver's License (required).

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Active Iowa RN license in addition to Illinois licensure.
• Professional reference or performance evaluation from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months.
• Completed skills checklist specific to Stepdown / Progressive Care discipline.
