About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years. License: RN license required. Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS - AHA only required. Must-Have: Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: Nights, 12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00. Weekend rotation with every other holiday. Unit will consider alternative scheduling options if the traveler is interested. Minimum of two years of experience in an Emergency Department with adult and pediatric patients is required. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state is necessary. BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications from AHA are mandatory. Traveler will need to successfully complete a telemetry exam before starting the assignment. Clinical experience involving arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, and blood product administration is preferred. Skills in triage, starting and maintaining IVs, and care of ventilated patients are expected. Typical patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Shift reporting, hourly rounding, and utilization of prescribed protocols are required practices. Travelers may be required to float as needed. Minimum experience in an acute care environment is mandatory, with specific focus on the specialty applied for. Passing score of 80% is required on telemetry exams, with strict criteria for acceptable performance. Failure to meet passing criteria may result in cancellation of the assignment.
