License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS - AHA only required Must-Have: Required to pass Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start Description: This position involves night shifts consisting of 12-hour work periods from 18:30 to 07:00. Weekend rotation and coverage for every other holiday are expected. The unit will consider 4x12 schedules and assignments up to 26 weeks if interested. Candidates must have two years of experience in an Emergency Department setting with adult and pediatric patients. A valid Registered Nurse license is necessary. Certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS through AHA are required. Travelers must successfully complete a Telemetry test before starting the position. Typical responsibilities include managing arterial lines, administering blood products, and providing care for ventilated patients. Candidates will need to interpret EKGs and manage dysrhythmias as well. The patient care will encompass a wide age range, including neonates, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 70 patients, and all staff will participate in shift reporting and hourly rounding practices. Utilization of a barcode scanning system with a minimum accuracy of 95% is mandatory for extension eligibility. Travelers are expected to float as needed. Compliance with local travel rules is required. Minimum experience of two years in acute care within the last three years in the specialty is mandatory. Passing a telemetry examination is a critical component of the hiring process. Two attempts are provided to successfully pass the examination, with consequences for failure beyond the attempts.
