Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required within the last 18 months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Floating experience does not count toward experience requirement. Correctional facility experience does not count toward experience requirement.

Special Requests: Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule. Cannot have an employment gap in the past 4+ months. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Unit Details: Patient ratios: days 1:5-6; nights 1:6. Mostly medical patients, including pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, AKI, and occasional lap chole and appendectomy cases. Heparin and Lasix drips are used but are non-titrated. Charge nurse may take an assignment if needed. PCAs are available, typically 8-12 patients per PCA. Uses BiPAP and cares for stable trach patients. Dedicated monitor tech on unit; travelers are not required to read telemetry.

Shift & Scheduling: 36 scheduled hours per week only (no 48-hour option); additional shifts can be picked up. Maximum RTO: 5 days per assignment. Every other weekend. Typically 2 of 3 holidays. Low census on-call.

Floating Requirements: Floats to MedSurg, stable low-acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills Clinic RDU.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
