Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years.

• Experience with Epic is required within the last 18 months.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Arizona license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience: Floating experience does not count toward experience requirement. Correctional facility experience does not count toward experience requirement.

Special Requests: Start dates are not flexible. Travel pairs cannot request the same schedule. Cannot have an employment gap in the past 4+ months. Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained.

Unit Details: Patient ratios: Days 1:5-6; nights 1:6. Common diagnoses/patient population: mostly medical patients including pneumonia, COPD, radiation patients, AKI, and occasional lap chole and appendectomy cases. Heparin and lasix gtt - non-titrated. Charge nurse is sometimes free but can take an assignment if needed. PCA support: 8-12 per PCA. RT equipment includes BiPAP and stable trach care. Tele on this unit; travelers do not need to read tele, and there is a dedicated monitor tech.

Shift & Scheduling: 36-hour contracts only (48-hour contracts unavailable); can pick up additional shifts. Every other weekend. Typically 2/3 holidays. No more than 5 days of RTO. Low census on-call.

Floating Requirements: Float to MedSurg, stable low-acuity ICU, RDU, and Foothills clinic RDU.

5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1. Start assignment restriction: 14 days

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
