Windows Systems Administrator - Senior

Responsible for unique or complex information systems and/or information technology projects across more than one discipline, such as application support, database administration, software quality assurance/quality control, software engineering, network telecommunications, and infrastructure operations of administration, analysis, engineering and design. Provides direction to other IT Administrators on the project in a senior administrator capacity. Considered a technical specialist in a variety of IT administrator disciplines. Manage Windows Server infrastructure (2016/2019/2022) across all environments. Perform system provisioning, configuration, patching, and hardening. Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS/DHCP services. Monitor system health, performance, and capacity. Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation for Windows environment. Implement Windows automation using PowerShell and configuration management tools. Manage Windows security compliance and STIG implementation. Support application teams with Windows infrastructure and troubleshooting. Maintain Windows documentation, runbooks, and configuration baselines. Manage system backups, disaster recovery, and failover clustering. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field or equivalent relevant experience; Master’s Degree preferred. 8-15 years of experience in information technology, systems administration or other IT related field with 4+ years Windows Server administration experience specifically. Other Job Specific Skills Strong in: Windows Server 2016/2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell scripting. Knowledge: Automation, security hardening (STIGs), System Center, monitoring tools. Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate or equivalent. Compensation Ranges Compensation ranges for ASM Research positions vary depending on multiple factors; including but not limited to, location, skill set, level of education, certifications, client requirements, contract-specific affordability, government clearance and investigation level, and years of experience. The compensation displayed for this role is a general guideline based on these factors and is unique to each role.
