Tool Service Technician

Tool Service Technician (Service Tech I) at United Rentals seeks a team player to perform maintenance and repair tasks on specialty tools and rental equipment in a safe and professional manner. What You’ll Do Perform maintenance checks on rental equipment before and after use Report machine condition to Management Load and unload equipment while complying with DOT regulations for height, width and weight Clean all tools and prepare new equipment for rent or sale Demonstrate tools and equipment to customers Perform minor repairs of rental equipment and tools, including electrical, calibration, certification, and tagging of tools for rental ready status Provide assistance to higher level technicians as needed Assist with pick‑up and delivery of equipment and parts Other duties assigned as needed Requirements High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record Basic understanding of electrical testing equipment Good mechanical aptitude including basic knowledge of tools Superior customer service, teamwork and verbal/written communication skills Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.
