We aim to be part of a world where more people feel emboldened to create things with their hands, just for the hell of it– because the real thrill simply lies in the making.Position OverviewThe Event Production Assistant is a hands-on member of our events team who turns approved mood boards into real life. Working from creative direction set by the events team, this person builds the sets, grazing tables, and floral arrangements that make an event feel like Happy Medium, and handles load-in, setup, and breakdown on event days. They have a sharp eye for detail and take pride in executing a vision exactly as intended.Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate approved mood boards into real life across set design, grazing tables, and floral arranging for private and corporate events.Handle load-in and load-out, including transporting, unpacking, and repacking event materials, props, and equipment.Produce event signage, presentation materials, and other collateral as directed.Set up, style, and break down events on-site alongside the events team.Place and track orders for approved event purchases, ensuring all materials arrive on time.Maintain an organized system for event products and collateral, keeping inventory easy to locate and ready for use.What We’re Looking ForA strong eye for detail and the ability to recreate an approved design accurately and consistently.Takes direction well and asks questions when something is unclear.Strong communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with the events team.A strong work ethic and pride in keeping things clean, organized, and efficientA team player who’s proactive and pitches in wherever needed.Ability to work quickly without sacrificing quality or attention to detail.Enthusiasm for working in a creative, mission-driven environment.RequirementsWorking knowledge of Figma (or the ability to learn quickly) for updating templates; Adobe Creative Suite a plus.1+ years of hands-on experience in floral arranging, grazing tables, set design, or event production.Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.Flexible schedule, including availability for weekend/evening events.Legally authorized to work in the U.S.Compensation & Benefits$23–$28/hour, commensurate with experienceFree admission to the Art Cafe and select eventsFriends & family discountCareer growth and training opportunitiesHappy Medium is an equal opportunity employer.
