Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

The primary responsibility of a warehouse worker is to efficiently manage the receiving, storing, and issuing of materials and equipment from the stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard.

• Receive and count stock items, recording data manually or using a computer.
• Pack and unpack items for stocking on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
• Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
• Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
• Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Detail-oriented and team player.
• Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective security operations.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2-4 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in using an RF scanner and inventory management.
• Ability to lift, scan, pick, pack, audit, and perform shipping and receiving tasks.
• Ability to work on feet for up to 10-hour shifts.
• English language proficiency.
• Ability to match labels accurately.

This position is within a clean, climate-controlled Walgreens MicroFulfillment Center facility. The work schedule is a second shift from 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM on Friday and Sunday. Employees are allowed to work with one earbud to listen to music or podcasts, providing a relaxed atmosphere.

This is a Contract position based out of Liberty, MO.

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $15.00/hr.
