This is not an all-inclusive list. This job may be assigned other functions or tasks as business needs dictate. This is meant to be a general description of the most essential duties only. Clinical Procedures Assist in developing and maintaining a system for screens, assessments, and referrals for all patients. Coordinate, maintain, and evaluate the effectiveness of assessments & referrals. Evaluate program effectiveness and formulate plans for improvement and comply with any Performance Improvement Plans. Coordinate the process for determining and maintaining accurate legal processes for clients. Monitor treatment records for appropriate documentation of care. Ensure an adequate system of communication and reporting is maintained with referents and continuing care resources. Communicate on a regular and timely basis with other members of the management team. Report any unsafe conditions or patient concerns to the Director. Advocate for the best interests of individual clients. Interact with clients and other staff in an ethically and legally appropriate manner. Attend mandatory facility in-services and staff development activities as scheduled. Provide legible, written documentation of client notes/ progress in the EHR system and must be completed by program and DHS regulations. Clinical Supervisor Work with the Director to implement program policies, procedures, and act as a resource to staff. Develop staffing schedules in accordance with client needs/acuity for clinical service staff. Ensure all clinical staff are evaluated annually, and as needed, according to personnel policies. Provide leadership and direction to clinical and support staff in accordance with program goals and objectives. Conducts disciplinary actions when indicated. Consult with Human Resources when required. Continually evaluate the activities, morale and task group functioning of the clinical staff and promote methods to improve these areas. Ensure monthly chart audits are being completed and assess follow up that is needed. Work with the Director to provide education, orientation, and in-services for the program staff when opportunity to improve clinical knowledge is identified. Ensure an adequate system of communication and reporting is maintained between all staff members. Responsible for onboarding new hires with documentation and trainings. Participates in the recruitment process for new Clinical staff members. Foster a climate of cooperation and respect between staff. Report any unsafe conditions or concerns to the Director. C. Additional Duties Embrace, support and foster the Company’s culture, Code of Conduct and Mission, Vision and Values Other duties as assigned Skills & Qualifications Must be at least 21 years of age and must be free of substance use problems for at least two (2) years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree and two years of work experience in administration or personnel supervision in human services. Must hold a LPCC, LICSW, LP, LMFT, LADC or equivalent license to practice by the State of Minnesota. Must have at least one (1) year of work‑related experience in direct service to individuals with substance use disorders or one year of work experience in the management or administration of direct service to individuals with substance use disorders. Preferred experience: previous supervisory experience in a mental or behavioral health setting Preferred Education: Master’s Degree specializing in Psychology, Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy or Social Work. Completed minimum requirements for board approved clinical and ethical supervision. Preferred Licensure: LADC and/or LPCC, LPC, LICSW, LP or equivalent license to practice by the State of Minnesota. Must be at least 21 years of age and must be free of substance use problems for at least two (2) years immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact. Knowledge of The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual V (DSM-V) Diagnostic Criteria for substance use disorders The requirements of Minnesota Statutes 245G, Minnesota Rules 9530.6510 to 6590 and Minnesota Statutes chapters 245A and 245C, and sections 253B.04, 253B.05, 626.557, and 626.5572; 42 CFR, Part 2, and other applicable state and federal regulatory requirements. State and Federal law regarding confidentiality of alcohol and drug treatment records and HIV testing/status including 42 CFR, part 2 Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Business and office practice/procedures Healthcare industry, especially substance abuse and mental health services Technology proficiency with various software packages including EHR/EMR and keyboarding skills Continuous quality improvement Skills Very detailed and organized Relates effectively with public, peers, subordinates (if applicable), and leadership staff Critical thinking and problem solving Ability to lead, mentor and motivates others Strong customer service Abilities to Work under general supervision as well as independently in the absence of specific instructions Demonstrate imitativeness Maintain confidentiality Multi-task and work effectively under pressure in a high volume, fast paced environment Demonstrate work flexibility Follow all program personnel policies and procedures Effectively represent the company with a professional attitude with communication and interactions with co-workers, patients, family members, visitors, community, and referral sources Demonstrate trustworthy behavior Establish and maintain effective working relationships with both patients and other staff in an ethically and legally appropriate manner Maintain files where discretion is involved in assigning items to their proper places Prioritize workload and work within deadlines Communicate effectively in the English language, including verbal and written communication with both internal and external contacts Exercise sound judgment, emotional intelligence, and good decision‑making abilities Interpret and apply standards, regulations, policies, and procedures relative to this position Assemble information from various sources for records and reports, if required Anticipate problems and solve prior to occurring, where possible Adhere to professional boundaries Resolve conflicts Use time constructively and in an organized manner to accomplish assigned responsibilities, delegates duties to other personnel as appropriate, and demonstrates good judgment.
