This well-established medical group in Orange County provides comprehensive gastroenterology services to a diverse patient population. The facility offers a collaborative and supportive environment for physicians, with a strong emphasis on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

Permanent placement position in Gastroenterology with approximately 12 patient encounters per shift
No endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) expectation or requirement for this role
Providers can begin once credentialed, with an estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
Fellowship-trained candidates within 1 year of residency will be considered
Candidates without a California license will be considered if they have strong ties to Orange County or California
Perform upper GI endoscopy procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, fulguration of bleeding sites, injection of varices, and PEG placement
ERCP (diagnostic and therapeutic) preferred but not required
Perform esophageal dilatation and manometry
Perform small bowel biopsy procedures
Perform lower GI endoscopy including flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
Insertion and management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube required
Board certification required with ACLS and BLS certifications
Target start date of July 1, with potential for earlier start if candidate is identified quickly
