Maintenance Manager The Maintenance Manager directs all maintenance activities at our 1,800 MW coal-fired power plant. Lead a multidisciplinary union team of internal personnel across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines and oversee external contractors. Ensure maximum plant availability and reliability. Member of the Station’s Leadership Team, responsible for providing leadership to maintenance employees and integrating safety and environmental requirements into work plans. Oversee development, implementation, and administration of the maintenance strategy to meet objectives in the Keystone Station Business Plan. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide proactive safety and environmental leadership at the station. Assure the development and implementation of an effective Work Management Program and System that prioritizes personnel safety, environmental, and equipment reliability. Oversee, execute and manage maintenance budgets and update monthly budget forecasts. Develop, implement, manage, and communicate the station’s maintenance plan. Manage the station’s maintenance workforce to achieve business targets, schedules, and budgets. Manage and coordinate activities of contractors embedded in the station maintenance support activities. Optimize internal and external resources to support station maintenance needs. Develop workforce by overseeing safety training, technical craft progression, and performance evaluations. Support the Station’s General Manager in the performance of his/her accountabilities. Requirements Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred. Ten (10+) years of heavy industrial maintenance experience, ideally in large-scale power generation, high pressure boilers, steam turbines, generators and instrumentation and control systems. Experience managing a unionized workforce and operating within a CBA framework. Experience in management/supervisory capacity overseeing multi-disciplined trades and large contractor forces. Demonstrated understanding of power plant equipment and related maintenance practices. Demonstrated leadership skills. Proficient knowledge of progressive maintenance practices and planning. Demonstrated policies relating to safety, environmental and maintenance requirements. Ability to analyze and prepare information into high-level, effective communications. Availability on a 24/7 emergency response basis. Working Conditions Office environment with significant exposure to the power plant environment, including working outdoors, working at heights, high/low ambient temperatures and high humidity areas at generating unit work locations. Requires standing, sitting, walking, kneeling, twisting, climbing stairs and ladders, and entering plant equipment to access, inspect, or collect data on plant equipment. Work in and around rotating equipment, high voltage electrical equipment, high noise areas and elevations. Established facial hair in the sealing area of a respirator is not permitted and the ability to wear a respirator. Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toed shoes, hard hats, and eye and hearing protection. Summary Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record, as this position requires occasional travel for company business. Candidates should be comfortable operating a vehicle as part of their job responsibilities and must meet any applicable company and insurance requirements. Compensation The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience, qualifications, and location. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including but not limited to skills, experience, and relevant qualifications. This range represents the base salary and does not include other forms of compensation, such as bonuses, benefits, or equity, which may be offered in addition to the base pay.
