Position: NOC Analyst Location: Syracuse, NY ***Onsite*** Duration: 1 Year Job Responsibilities Travel to remote locations. Own vehicle to drive to different locations and support end users; mileage reimbursed. Available on call support during weekends/holidays as requested. Prioritize alarms and incidents to fulfill SLA commitments. Deliver proactive technology monitoring and implement corrective action to ensure optimal performance. Provide diagnostics and technical updates on incidents to the operations, engineering teams, and senior management. Identify opportunities to improve processes and sponsor introduction of system changes to improve efficiency. Work within UTOC team; ability to work shift pattern. Proactively monitor technology solutions to ensure events are captured and resolved before they become incidents; during major service outage, liaise with departments to undertake emergency fault diagnostics to resolution. Escalate issues to Senior Staff/Shift Lead/Shift Manager. Document incidents by creating tickets; select affected party, prioritize, and fill mandatory fields (type, time, brief description). Update internal customers and management regarding status of inquiries/issues. Research and resolve issues such as documentation requests and repeat issues, recommend process improvements, and provide shift turnover status. Coordinate and route incidents, calls and tickets as front line support staff. Monitor alarm activity via Network Management monitoring system. Track incidents to verify response times and availability requirements (SLA) are met. Create and update tickets with 100% accuracy following established procedures. Execute projects given by Management. Participate in personal training and career development activities. Knowledge Requirements Minimum 2 years of network surveillance experience or related field of study. Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
