Consumer Electronics AssemblerAssemble consumer electronics products in a climate-controlled factory. Assemble and fit parts with close tolerances, solder, test, visually inspect, use jigs and fixtures, follow work instructions.Essential Duties and AbilitiesAssemble small electronic and mechanical components and subassemblies into finished products.Join or secure parts in place using hand tools, power tools, adhesives, fixtures and equipment.Perform on-line testing and visual inspection using magnifying devices, measuring instruments and computerized and electronic test equipment, to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.Perform tasks requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterityFollow verbal and written instructions carefully and consistentlyEnter data into computer databasesMaintain a clean and organized work areaPerform repetitive tasks carefully and consistentlyPossess corrected vision adequate to perform tasksWork closely with others in a team environmentCommunicate effectively with fellow team membersWork at the pace required to meet production goalsRead and follow verbal instructions in EnglishUse basic numerical and mathematical skillsMaintain regular and reliable attendanceQualifications and ExperienceHigh school degree or equivalent preferred.No prior experience is required. However, demonstrated ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and fine motor skills is desirable.Any knowledge of manufacturing or experience with electronics is a plus.Work Environment and Physical DemandsClimate-controlled indoor manufacturing plant. Must be able to sit at a bench for up to 9 hours a day and stand for up to 5 hours a day. May be required to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb or balance. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.Hours of WorkThe production work schedule is four ten-hour shifts Monday to Thursday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm. NOTE THE EARLY START TIME – repeated tardiness will be cause for dismissal. Available overtime is limited.TrainingYou will receive on-the-job training to perform all required tasks.Travel / Work LocationNo business travel in required. 100% in NK's plant in Boothwyn, PA. You must have reliable transportation.Pay Rate$16.00 per hour. Annual pay raises are issued in January based on the NK Assembler Skills Matrix.
