Primary responsibilities of the Carpenter are to design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain and repair. The Carpenter works in various types of facilities and structures, interior to exterior, floor to ceiling, vinyl siding to soffits and roofs and everything in between such as cabinets, tables, benches, doors and door closures. Materials include wood, drywall, plaster, concrete, brick, ceramic tile and paint. The ideal EMI Carpenter is an experienced handyman who does it all while following all health and safety standards.$29.93/ hr. plus $15.25/hr. fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!All the fantastic benefits you receive as an employee of EMI below!Key Responsibilities:Work independently with MINIMAL SUPERVISIONAssess tasks and determine solutions including cost, time and materialsOperate, maintain, and calibrate hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instrumentsRespond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and servicePerform other related duties as assignedEssential Skills:Mechanically inclined with the mindset of making alterations and repairsBasic understanding of facia and trim with fabrication skillsWork well in a team to complete tasksAdaptable and flexible in work situationsPrioritize tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner
