Assistant Manager

Job Description Jersey Mike's Subs is seeking a dedicated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our team. The AGM will uphold our commitment to quality, cleanliness, and exceptional customer service while leading and developing a small crew in a fast‑paced restaurant environment. Responsibilities Maintain the restaurant with noticeably higher cleanliness standards than other locations. Work in a fast‑paced, team‑driven atmosphere. Multitask effectively and operate with a sense of urgency. Interface with customers to provide an exceptional experience. Understand the terms of accountability and integrity. Serve as Key Holder. Open and close the store, performing all related tasks. Bake bread and handle all preparation duties. Manage and lead a crew of 3 to 7 people. Operate slicing equipment proficiently. Create employee schedules. Place inventory orders. Fill in for the Manager in all capacities when needed. Assist with employee training. Lead by example. Participate in management team meetings and strategy sessions. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. At least 1 year of experience in a quick‑service restaurant (QSR) preferred. Must be 18 years or older to operate the slicer. Serve Safe Certification (Food Handler) required. Reliable transportation. Key Competencies Excellent menu and product knowledge with a strong, engaging personality. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Desire to improve self and skills continuously. Effective communication with guests. Participation in all Jersey Mike's training programs. Reliability in meeting schedule requirements.
