Role Description The Shift Supervisor is a part-time, on-site role located in Rio Rancho, NM. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations during assigned shifts, including opening or closing duties, monitoring common areas, and ensuring that vendors, guests, and team members have what they need for a smooth experience. The Shift Supervisor supports staff on the floor, responds to guest questions and concerns, and helps maintain a welcoming, safe, and clean environment throughout the marketplace and bar areas. This position coordinates with vendors and event staff, helps execute live events and promotions, and assists with basic administrative tasks such as logging incidents, shift reports, and inventory or supply needs. The Shift Supervisor models excellent customer service, supports training of new team members, and escalates maintenance, safety, or staffing issues to management as needed. Qualifications Experience in customer-facing roles, with strong customer service and hospitality skills that support a welcoming, community-oriented environment. Ability to lead small teams during a shift, including delegating tasks, supporting staff, and maintaining a calm, solutions-focused approach under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, vendors, performers, and colleagues. Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities such as guest needs, events, and facility checks during busy periods. Basic problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills to address guest issues, vendor concerns, and operational challenges in a fair and timely manner. Comfort working in a fast-paced, indoor/outdoor environment, including evenings, weekends, and event hours as required. Previous experience in retail, food and beverage, event venues, or entertainment environments is preferred but not required. Ability to stand and move for extended periods, and to perform light physical tasks such as setting up event areas, moving supplies, or supporting basic cleanup.
