One of our clients in Washington DC needs a Technical Writer.Position DetailsPosition: Technical WriterLocation: Washington DCTravel: None anticipatedPosition Type: ProposalResponsibilities:Lead documentation efforts related to Innovative Solution Offering (ISO) coordination and produce high-quality documents supporting all aspects of Advanced Research Projects Agency – Health (ARPA-H) Mission Office operations.This role collaborates with subject-matter experts to deliver clear, accurate, and consistent documentation supporting program goals, compliance, and innovation. Coordinate, draft, and maintain documentation for ISO-related activities, including policies, procedures, technical reports, and summaries.Develop and manage a variety of documents for the Mission Office, such as procedural guides, training materials, meeting summaries, and communications.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather information and ensure content accuracy.Translate evaluation comments and technical feedback into clear, plain language suitable for public audiences.Establish and uphold standards for document formatting, version control, and compliance with relevant regulations.Support the creation of templates, flowcharts, and process diagrams to enhance understanding of complex workflows.Monitor updates in agency standards and incorporate relevant changes into documentation.Requirements:Minimum of 2 years of technical writing experience, preferably in healthcare, research, or a regulated environment.Bachelor’s degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Public Health, Life Sciences, or a related field.Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.Must approach editing with confidence and independence, unafraid to substantially revise or rewrite unclear or poorly written material to ensure accuracy, clarity, and quality.Ability to provide candid, constructive feedback and make decisive editorial changes, even when revising work from senior staff or subject-matter experts.Able to prioritize clarity and effective communication above personal sensitivities, ensuring all documents meet high standards regardless of their original form.Comfortable working under tight deadlines and able to deliver high-quality documentation in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.Maintains composure and attention to detail when managing multiple projects simultaneously and during periods of high demand.Must have SETA experience supporting a Government Research agency (ARPA-H, DARPA, ONR, R&E, AFRL, etc.) with preference given to the ARPAs.If you are interested in this position, please send a copy of your latest resume at View email address on click.appcast.io with the information requested below: Also, please let me know what time/number is best to call to discuss this great opportunity.
