The Medical Unit Receptionist in the Emergency Department provides front-line clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth unit operations. Responsibilities include greeting and assisting patients and visitors, answering phones, managing patient charts and electronic records, coordinating communication between staff, and supporting the care team with essential clerical tasks. The MUR helps maintain an organized, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients and staff in the ED.

What We're Looking For:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Experience: One year experience in healthcare, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.
• Additional Skills Preferred: Experience with answering multiple phone lines. Basic computer skills. Excellent customer service behaviors.
